Common Lands Role in Cable TV Pilot

Common has starred in a couple of movies over the last four months. Now the rapper is stepping into the world of television. The Hollywood Reporter says he’s been cast in a pilot for AMC titled Hell on Wheels. He’ll play a freed slave who goes to work on construction of the Transcontinental Railroad in the 1800s. Common has appeared in the recent comedy films Date Night and Just Wright.
