Eminem Defends Taylor Swift, but Says Dissing Kanye on Record Would Be "Career Suicide"

In his rhymes, Eminem has said some pretty nasty things about some of the world's biggest stars, but in a new interview with Spin magazine, he seems to have a soft spot for one particular celebrity.  Addressing the MTV VMA incident last year where Kayne West hijacked Taylor Swift's acceptance speech, Em tells the magazine, "He shouldn't have done that.  I mean, she's a little girl."

However, Eminem says he wouldn't actually go so far as to diss Kanye on record. He tells the magazine he considered doing so a few years ago when he got jealous of 'Ye's success -- in fact, he was going to do a track dissing both Kanye and Lil Wayne.  But he realized, he says, "it would have been career suicide."

Eminem also reveals to Spin that despite the fact that he has a Twitter feed and a website, he doesn't even know how to turn on a computer.  He tells the magazine, "Here's why I don't know how to work a computer. If I learn how, I'm going to be on that [thing] all day looking at comments about me, and it's going to drive me crazy."

The August issue of Spin with Eminem on the cover is on newsstands now.
